Fulham set Andre priority as Palhinha replacement

According to The Telegraph, Fulham have chosen Fluminense’s Andre as their priority target, should they lose the services of Joao Palhinha in the January transfer window.

Palhinha has been heavily linked with Bayern Munich and it appears more likely by the day that the Portuguese midfielder will be moving to the Allianz Arena soon. Given his importance for Marco Silva’s team, it comes as no surprise that they’re working on securing a suitable replacement before letting him go.

Andre’s representatives are said to be traveling to England this week in order to complete a transfer to the Premier League. The 22-year-old midfielder has also been linked with Liverpool, but it seems Fulham are taking the matter more seriously.

Like Palhinha, Andre is best deployed as a shield ahead of the back line, though he can play as a box-to-box player as well if need be. He has four appearances for the senior Brazilian national side so far.
