hot-transfer-newsFulham talks for Mitroglou confirmed

Greek giants Olympiakos have moved to confirm they are negotiating a sale of star striker Kostas Mitroglou to Fulham.

The Cottagers were believed to have reached an agreement to sign the highly rated forward, but it appears the deal have not been concluded just yet.

Olympiakos have confirmed talks with the Cottagers, adding that their asking price remains €15 million.

“There is still no definitive agreement with Fulham for Kostas Mitroglou,” a statement by Olympiakos read.

“Discussions will continue on Wednesday but only for an agreement of more than 15 million euros.”

Kostas Mitroglou is enjoying the most successful season in his career, having bagged 14 goals in 12 league matches, while also helping Greece qualify for the World Cup finals by notching three goals in play-offs against Romania.

He has in turn become one of the most sought-after players in Europe and now looks set to complete a switch to English Premier League.

Lazio agree Postiga loan

Sky Italia is reporting that Lazio are set to complete the loan signing of Portuguese striker Helder Postiga from Valencia.

The Biancocelesti have been looking to reinforce their attacking department and they have reportedly reached an agreement with the La Liga side to sign the player on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy.

Postiga only joined los Che in the summer, but he has failed to impress at Mestalla, scoring just 3 goals in 15 La Liga appearances.

And with Valencia having signed Eduardo Vargas from Napoli, the Portuguese was allowed to leave the club and sign for Lazio.

While struggling on club level, Postiga impressed on international stage, starting ten 2014 World Cup qualifiers for Portugal and scoring six goals.

Napoli to make a move on Ghoulam

French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands that Napoli are lining up a bid for Saint Etienne defender Faouzi Ghoulam.

The Azzurri are desperately short of options on the left side of defence, with right-back Anthony Reveillere playing at left-back of late.

And with Kevin Constant rejecting a move to Stadio San Paolo, Napoli are reportedly set to launch a new assault on Saint Etienne starlet Faouzi Ghoulam.

The talented youngster has been widely tipped to join Roma in January, but the Azzurri look set to steal the player from under their rivals’ noses.

Faouzi Ghoulam, 22, is regarded as one of league’s most talented defenders and has so far amassed 87 Ligue 1 appearances for les Verts.

His suitors Napoli host Lazio in Coppa Italia quarter-finals later today and are priced at 8/15 to win the clash in regulation time.
