Fulham are prepared to take a gamble with Aston Villa striker Darren Bent, Metro has revealed.
Martin Jol has vowed to reinforce the squad following the disappointing finish to the season and it appears he is pondering a move for the Vila flop.
The Cottagers desperately need another striker who can score goals on regular basis, and they believe Darren Bent can be that man.
The 29-year-old has had a hugely disappointing season at Villa Park, having scored just 2 goals in 15 Premier League appearances after losing his place in the side due to numerous injuries and poor form.
He is now desperate to leave the Villans in the summer, and the promise of regular first team football could have a bearing on his decision.
Fulham seem to be ready to take a chance with the experienced striker, who curently has 102 Premier League goals to his name.
