(GSM) – Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp congratulated West Ham United following his club’s defeat against the Hammers at Upton Park.

Spurs were defeated 1-0 in a thrilling encounter that kept goalkeepers Robert Green and Carlo Cudicini busy all through the game.

And despite the loss, Redknapp was happy with the ‘exciting’ match while congratulating West Ham for picking up a crucial win.

“It was an exciting game for the neutrals. It was end to end stuff, it was almost like a basketball game,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“Their keeper has pulled off a couple of world-class saves, so has our keeper, but it was just that they stuck their opportunity away and we didn’t.

“But that’s how it goes.”

He added: “There were chances galore for both teams and it’s disappointing for us, but full credit to West Ham.

“It’s good to see them get a win, they needed one, but we’re disappointed we didn’t get the three points as well.”
