West Ham defender Daniel Gabbidon has been charged with improper conduct by the FA following his foul-mouthed rant at supporters on Twitter.
The Wales international vented at fans following West Ham’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa on April 16, a defeat that left the Hammers deep in the relegation zone.
Gabbidon, responding to accusations he was at blame in the loss, tweeted: “U know what f— the lot of you u will never get another tweet from me again u just don’t get it do you. Bye bye.”
He has until Wednesday to appeal the charge, which will likely carry a hefty fine.
The FA docked Gabbidon’s team-mate Carlton Cole 20,000 pounds for comparing fans of Ghana’s national football team to illegal immigrants on Twitter in March.
