Gago prefers England and Italy

Real Madrid wantaway midfielder Fernando Gago has revealed that a move to England or Italy would suit him best.

The Argentine is becoming fed up with the lack of first team opportunities at Santiago Bernabeu and he is widely expected to leave the club this summer.

Gago says that he will not enter talks regarding his future until after the Copa America tournament.

“It is an assumption that Real Madrid want to sell me, because I am not talking and will not talk to anyone until the end of Copa America,” Gago told AS.

“Then we will see where we are after talking to the coach and president.”

When asked where he would like to continue his career, the Argentine replied:

“I do not know…England and Italy are very strong. These are two major leagues.”
