Galtasaray have made it clear to interested clubs that star striker Burak Yilmaz will not be sold on the cheap.
Yilmaz, 27, only joined the Turkish giants last summer, but he has further established his reputation as one of the most prolific scorers in world football.
He has in turn seen his name linked with Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal, but his current club will only sell him if the price is right.
“We have not received any offers for Burak Yilmaz, but, of course, (the speculation) will mount as the end of the season nears closer,” Galatasaray president Unal Aysal told Turkish newspaper Sabah.
“Burak is a very valuable star for us. If, however, we are talking about Falcao being worth €55 million, then my player is €40m.”
The talented footballer has spent his entire playing career in Turkey, but he has suggested that he would be delighted to join one of Europe’s top clubs.
Burak Yilmaz has scored 66 goals in last 84 Turkish Super Lig fixtures, and he has been thoroughly impressive since joining Galatasaray from Trabzonspor.
While scoring 14 goals in 20 league games this term, Yilmaz also netted 7 times in as many Champions League appearances.
