Turkish giants Galatasaray have admitted their interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.
The Super Lig side have made a real splash in the transfer market by signing Cris, Felipe Melo, Nordin Amrabat, Hamit Altintop, Burak Yilmaz and Umut Bulut, but they are eager to further strengthen the squad in January.
Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim has revealed that he would love to bring Real Madrid playmaker Kaka to Turk Telekom Arena.
“I have thought about him and he is a player that interests me because he has always been a great player,” Terim explained to Il Corriere dello Sport.
“Kaka would be perfect for Galatasaray and, indeed, that’s what I told my president, who thinks the same and believes he would be a good signing.”
The Brazilian is looking to leave Real Madrid in order to force himself back into the national team reckoning, but his hefty wage bill has proved to be a major obstacle to any deal.
Several high-profile clubs attempted to sign Kaka in the summer transfer window, but without success.
Real Madrid have already expressed their desire to cash in on their star player, meaning that Galatasaray will have a realistic chance to sign the forward if they can find enough money to find the deal.
