Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray have announced the signing of midfielder Emmanuel Eboue from Arsenal for a fee of 3.5 million euros.
Eboue leaves the Emirates after six years in north London and will now try his luck in Turkey after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.
A statement on Galatasaray’s official website read:
“Arsenal have agreed to sell Emmanuel Eboue for the beginning of the 2011-12 season. The transfer fee that will be paid to Arsenal is 3.5 million euros.”
The 28-year-old Eboue, who has 61 caps for Ivory Coast, follows in the footsteps of Johan Elmander, Felipe Melo, Tomas Ujfalusi and Fernando Muslera to Galatasaray this season.
