Dutch newspaper Voetbal International understands that Galatasaray are ready to launch a swoop for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben.
As it was revealed that Mario Gotze would be joining the Bavarians in the summer, it appears that the Netherlands international will not be staying at Alianz Arena for much longer.
Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta yesterday confirmed interest in the highly rated footballer, while Voetbal International reports Galatasaray are also keen.
The Turkish giants are happy with the impact Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba have made since arriving in January and plan to lure Robben to Istanbul as well.
Club president Unal Aysal has instructed his transfer guru Bulent Tulun to open talks with the Bavarians as well as the player’s representatives.
This is enough to suggest Galatasaray are serious in their attempt to sign Arjen Robben, who is unlikely to come on the cheap given he is tied to Bayern until June 2015.
