Japanese defender Yuto Nagatomo is currently playing for Turkish giants Galatasaray on loan from Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan.
The 31-year-old full-back is expected to return to Italy at the end of the season but Galatasaray are keen to extend his stay beyond the current campaign.
Turkish titans are preparing a €2 million plan in order to buy Nagatomo outright from Inter Milan and are reportedly willing to increase their offer by half a million and to table a €2.5 bid in order to persuade the Italian club to sell their player.
The Japan international himself is being offered a two-year contract with an option of a third year and Turkish outlet Fanatik claims that the player is keen to remain in Turkey.
Any permanent deal will now depend on Inter Milan who are not expected to stand in Nagatomo’s way.
Nagatomo joined Galatasaray this winter and has thus far made 7 Super Lig appearances and a single Turkish Cup display.
