Galatasaray have submitted an official proposal for FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to A Bola.

The Turkish giants are preparing for life without Burak Yilmaz, who looks set to leave Turk Telekom Arena at the end of the current campaign.

As a result, they are looking to sign a long-term replacement for the Turkey international and A Bola claims they have made an official bid for Porto’s Jackson Martinez.

Galatasaray reportedly offered no less than €44 million for the Colombian, but their bid was swiftly rejected by the Portuguese club.

The Dragons have referred the Turks to the player’s €60 million release clause, which is enough to suggest they are not prepared to negotiate the sale of their star player.

It remains to be seen for how much longer Porto will be able to ward off interest for the player who has bagged 23 goals in 25 matches during his first season at Estadio do Dragao.
