Galatasaray have offered a three-year contract to Patrick van Aanholt of Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports.
The 30-year-old left-back will be out of contract at the end of the season, and Crystal Palace apparently still haven’t decided whether they want him at Selhurst Park beyond the summer. His situation has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, but Galatasaray have made a concrete offer first, and it is now being considered by his representatives and discussed between the two parties.
Having played for Den Bosch and PSV Eindhoven at different youth levels, Van Aanholt spent almost his entire senior career so far in England. He joined Chelsea’s Under-18 side in 2007 had loan spells with Coventry, Newcastle, Leicester City, Wigan, and then a two-year one with Vitesse back in Netherlands, before making a permanent switch to Sunderland in 2014. He arrived at Crystal Palace in January 2017 for just under £10 million.
This term, the 13-cap Dutch international has made 26 league appearances for the Eagles so far, 18 of which were starts.
