Galatasaray have told Premier League heavyweights Manchester United and Chelsea that they will need to pay £12m if they are to have any hope of signing Wesley Sneijder, the Daily Star understands.
Reports emerging from the Turkish club say that an indirect offer from English champions United was dismissed in the summer, while Gala president Unal Aysal has named his price should a new approach come when the transfer window reopens.
Sneijder, who scored the only goal of the game as his side beat league leaders Fenerbache yesterday, revealed that United were also interested in securing his services in January, before saying that he is happy with life under Roberto Mancini.
However, with the reigning champions still seven points off the pace, and qualification for the Champions League football uncertain, the midfield could be set for a big money move.
The 29 year old has won league titles in Turkey, his native Netherlands with Ajax, in Spain with Real Madrid and in Italy under Chelsea boss Jose Mouriniho.
