Turkish giants Galatasaray have revealed they are in talks with Boca Juniors over the signing of Argentine defender Guillermo Burdisso.
Cim Bom boss Roberto Mancini is desperate to add a central defender to the squad before tonight’s transfer deadline, but he has failed in his attempts to sign Serie A stars Andrea Ranocchia and Davide Astori.
As a result, Galatasaray turned their attention to Boca Juniors stopper Guillermo Burdisso, revealing on their official website that negotiations with the player’s employers were in progress.
The younger brother of Genoa defender Nicolas Burdisso joined La Xeneize from Arsenal de Sarandi in the summer of 2012 and has since made 29 league appearances for the club.
The 25-year-old has already spent some time in Europe, having enjoyed a season-long loan with Italian giants AS Roma during the 2010/2011 campaign, but he only went on to feature in 3 Serie A fixtures for the Giallorossi.
