Galatasaray are closing in on Arsenal full-back Emmanuel Eboue, the Turkish club have revealed.
The Ivorian defender has lost his starting place at the Emirates following the arrival of Bacary Sagna and is now ready to leave the club in search for first team football.
It was revealed few weeks ago that Galatasaray were interested in his services and the Turkish club have now confirmed they are close to wrapping up a deal to sign the 28-year-old.
“Galatasaray has begun negotiations with Arsenal FC for the transfer of Ivorian-Belgian professional football player Emmanuel Eboue,” read a statement on Galatasaray’s official website.
Eboue has amassed 216 appearances for Arsenal since moving from Beveren six years ago, but he only featured in 13 Premier League games last term.
Earlier today, Cesc Fabregas has completed his move to Barcelona, while Samir Nasri is also on the verge of leaving the club.
