Galatasaray are on the verge of completing a deal for Heerenveen winger Oussama Assaidi, according to the Dutch club.
The Frisians have already stayed without two star players, having sold Bas Dost to Wolfsburg and Luciano Narsingh to PSV Eindhoven, and they now look to cash in on their third star player this summer.
Club president Robert Veenstra confirms that the young attacker Oussama Assaidi is set to join Galatasaray.
“I think the odds are that Oussama leaves, probably to Galatasaray,” Veenstra said to Voetbal International.
“We have already had an agreement with the club for two weeks, so it does not depend on us. I believe this is a good transfer for us as well as Oussama, but it is up to him.”
The Moroccan winger began his career at Almere City and also played for De Graafschap before joining Heerenveen in September 2010.
After taking one year to adapt to the new surroundings, Assaidi enjoyed two very good seasons at the club, scoring 19 goals in 58 games over the last two league campaigns.
The 23-year-old has scored 10 goals and produced 7 assists in 27 Eredivisie games last season.
