(GSM) – The Galatasaray president claims the club has turned down bids for their star duo Arda Turan and Kader Keita. It is reported that the interest in the Turkish giants’ star players came from England.
Turan has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Liverpool keen to sign the 23-year-old midfielder. The player broke into the first-team in 2006 is tipped to move on in the summer.
Meanwhile Kader Keita, who joined the club from Lyon last summer, has also attracted interest from a number of English clubs. The Ivorian winger is thought to have snubbed Everton in the summer.
However, the Toffees are understood to be back in the hunt for Keita. According to reports, Manchester City are leading the race to sign the player although they have had an initial £12million bid snubbed by the Turkish Super Lig leaders.
Gala president Adnan Polat did not reveal the identity of the bidders, but confirmed the club were not looking to sell their players.
“We have been offered €14million (£12million) for both players, but we do not intend to sell them,” he told Milliyet.
