Galatasaray want Kaka; Warnock confident Diouf will stay at Leeds

Galatasaray club president Aysal Unal has revealed that the Turkish Super League giants are keen on out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, Sky Sports understands.

The 18-time Turkish Super League winners will reportedly make a move for the Brazilian if they reach the knockout stages of the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League, according to the club’s president.

“Kaka could join us, yes, but at this time I cannot guarantee it,” revealed Unal.

“If we negotiate the group stage of the Champions League we will try to get hold of him.

“I think that he would integrate well in our club and we would love to see him wearing the shirt of Galatasaray.”

Galatasaray opened their 2012-13 Champions League account with a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford against Manchester United despite bossing the game at times.

Warnock confident Diouf will stay at Leeds

According to Sky Sports, Leeds United manager Neil Warnock is optimistic that El Hadji Diouf will not be departing Elland Road in favour of pastures new during the January transfer window.

At the moment, the Whites are in 12th place in the English Championship table, having tallied 3-1-3 record through seven league matches.

“Dioufy will not go anywhere else, he’s promised me certain things and I’m happy with that,” said Warnock.

“He’s obviously not doing it for money, he’s one of the lowest-paid players at the club. He’s not going to get a stage like this again is he? He’s a matador and you need something like that.

“It’s no good going to Saudi Arabia or Dubai or wherever he was going for six or seven times the wages. He’s better off with me, isn’t he?

Diouf has made 10 appearances (six starts) for the club this season, netting one goal and four assists.

We shall wait and see what happens in January, but Diouf has apparently given Warnock ‘his word’ that he’s not going anywhere.

Whether he keeps his word or not is surely still up in the air. Now then, do you think El Hadji Diouf will be donning a Leeds United shirt come January 2013?
