Galatasaray want Mata

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Galatasaray are believed to be in talks to try and sign Juan Mata.

While it may feel like he’s been around forever, Juan Mata is just 34 years old with many believing he still has a few years left at the elite level – including the man himself. The Spaniard departed Manchester United when his contract expired earlier this summer, bringing an end to a run that lasted eight years – with his time in England going even further courtesy of his tenure with Chelsea.

Now, he wants to explore pastures new, with Gala being more than willing to offer him the chance to do just that.

The midfielder could join the likes of Mauro Icardi who is also set to sign for the Turkish giants and based on what he’s still able to bring to the table, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him make a real impact over there.
