Turkish newspaper Fanatik claims that Galatasaray are preparing an assault on Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma.
Quaresma, 29, recently had his contract at Besiktas rescinded and is now free to speak to interested clubs.
Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim is a big admirer of the Portugal international and is keen to add him to his ranks in the January transfer window.
Quaresma will be offered a contract worth €2.5 million per season, which is €1 million less than what he was earning at Besiktas.
The only problem is that Galatasaray will have to pay €5 million in compensation to Besiktas if the Portuguese winger accepts their offer.
Namely, Besiktas inserted a clause in the contract termination agreement under which they are due €5 million if Quaresma signs for one of three Turkish top sides in the January transfer window.
Nevertheless, Galatasaray seem more than happy to pay €5 million for a player of his stature.
