(GSM) – Roma boss Claudio Ranieri has confirmed an interest in Arsenal defender William Gallas.
Gallas’s deal at the Emirates expires at the end of the season and reports earlier this week claimed Roma are tracking the France international for the summer.
“Gallas is a player who has always done well both at Chelsea and Arsenal. Players of high calibre will always do well at Roma,” Ranieri told the press ahead of the match against Milan, this Saturday.
The cracker at the Olimpico is likely to be a shoot-out for second place because Ranieri is convinced that Internazionale will scoop the Scudetto again.
“For me everything has been decided. And, like I have always said, only Inter can lose the Scudetto,” he added.
“But, we want to give the public a nice performance as the stadium is sold out tomorrow.”
The former Chelsea coach believes the tranquility he has instilled in his players will make the difference against a Rossoneri side who will be worrying about Inter’s lead at the top.
“Serenity will give us something more. Milan have to beat us so they can stay in touch with Inter because this was their objective at the start of the season,” he added.
“We are doing well, and we want to continue doing so.
“Milan are one of the best teams in the world and I hope we play them with the right attitude so we can stop them from playing.”
Luca Toni will be available for the clash with Milan. The prolific striker, who joined the Giallorossi in January, returns after a three-week layoff with a calf injury.
