Sevilla are on the verge of signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro, Marca has revealed.
Los Rojiblancos are set to stay without star striker Alvaro Negredo, who is set to join Manchester City and they have already purchased Carlos Bacca from Club Brugge as his replacement.
However, they also want to sign a more experienced forward and are reportedly close to luring Kevin Gameiro to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Sevilla officials are obviously waiting for Negredo’s move to Manchester City to become official before they open talks with Paris Saint-Germain, but it is important to note they have already struck terms with the player.
Kevin Gameiro is recognized as one of Ligue 1’s top strikers and he has done nothing to harm his reputation since joining Paris Saint-Germain two years ago.
Despite being mostly restricted to substitute appearances, the 26-year-old has scored 8 league goals in just over 800 minutes of football last season, and he will relish the opportunity of playing regular first team football at Sevilla.
