Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro has refused to reject speculation linking him with a January move to Marseille.
The highly rated forward has been mentioned as one of the players that could replace Andre-Pierre Gignac should he decide to leave Stade Veldorome, and it would appear as though the 27-year-old is considering his options.
Gameiro is not too happy at playing second fiddle to Carlos Bacca at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and he admits he is not against returning to French Ligue 1.
“A return to Ligue 1 is not a regression, it depends on the club and project,” Gameiro told L’Equipe.
“I watched Marseille matches. Bielsa is really a coach who works hard and is demanding. The players are running like crazy, but they are explosive and it works.
”But, today I am where I am.”
Despite starting mere two matches in Spanish La Liga this season, Gameiro has largely impressed at Sevilla, scoring a total of 8 goals in all competitions, after missing the start of the campaign through injury.
The former PSG forward is held in high regard by Europe’s top clubs and he may decide to leave unless he is given more opportunities to impress at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
