Odds: 7/4 @ Bet 365

Desperate to close the gap on both Barcelona and cross-town rivals Atletico, Real Madrid and Wales international Gareth Bale will be looking to carry on their impressive start to the new season when they host Leganes on Saturday.

Starting with Julen Lopetegui’s Madrid side, although they may have slumped to a disappointing 4-2 loss to Atletico in the Super Cup last month, The Whites have started the new season brightly. Coming off the back of a 4-1 win over Girona last week, Madrid now have six in their opening two and in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale has started the new season brightly. Finding the net in both of their opening victories, we’re backing the Wales man to carry on his impressive start against a struggling Leganes defense.

As for former Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino, while Leganes did impress during their pre-season, the visitors have once again struggled at the start of the new La Liga campaign. After flirting with the foot of the table for the majority of last season, Leganes are without a win in their opening two and have now shipped two in each of their outings. Now with just one win in their last eight domestic appearances, Leganes have also shipped at least two in six of their last eight. Given their defensive issues, we’re backing Bale to have an enjoyable evening in front of goal.
