Gareth Barry to return to training tomorrow

Out of favour midfielder Gareth Barry will attend his first pre season training session with Aston Villa tomorrow (Wednesday).

Barry has been in the headlines since the latter days of last season when it was rumoured that Liverpool were interested in luring the England midfielder away from Villa Park. More recently he has been linked with a move to Arsenal as Liverpool are reluctant to accept the required transfer fee asked for by Villa.

More significantly however was his banning from practices two weeks ago for his outburst in a national newspaper in which he criticised manager Martin OÂ’Neill for not letting him go.
