Gattuso admits defeat in Scudetto race

AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has admitted that Inter have won the Scudetto race.

Inter now holds a nine-point advantage at the top of the Serie A, with just eight games to go.

“The championship is over – Inter will win the Scudetto,” Rino said on Milan’s website.

“We have had an incredible amount of injuries to deal with over the past six or seven months in every department and that can certainly explain some of our inconsistency.

“It goes without saying that defensive reinforcements will arrive at the end of the season.

“I was just delighted to see the win over Lecce and a goal for Philippe Senderos.

“He is a great guy and I am pleased that he made a decisive contribution, even though the goal was rightly attributed to Ronaldinho.

“After such a long time struggling with injury he really deserved a performance like that.”
