Spanish media outlet Don Balon claims that Sporting CP starlet Gelson Martins has set his sights on moving to English Premier League.
The 21-year-old is on the radar of clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Man Utd and Man City, among others, with a big club move clearly on the cards.
But, while many believe that los Blancos lead the chase for his signature, Don Balon has suggested that the youngster is eager to move to England.
Having largely impressed in the opening exchanges, Gelson Martins has been offered a new and improved contract, but he has yet to extend his deal with the Lions.
The highly rated winger has been in excellent form this season, having managed 2 goals and 7 assists in 10 league appearances, while he has also done well in 5 Champions League outings despite failing to get on the scoresheet in Europe’s elite competition.
