Genk boss prepared to sell star player to Chelsea
Genk manager Mario Been admits that he would have no problem selling midfielder Kevin de Bruyne to Chelsea.
The Blues have recently expressed interest in the Genk winger and are thought to be preparing a January bid for the player.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas will have the opportunity to witness De Bruyne’s potential at first hand when his side host Genk on Wednesday.
Even Genk boss Mario Been says that he wouldn’t be surprised if De Bruyne indeed ends up at Stamford Bridge.
“I know that Kevin is a really great player and that Chelsea already talked about him,” Been said at a press conference.
“Chelsea look and want to buy all the big talents so, for me, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Kevin went to Chelsea. Everyone’s got his price.”
The 20-year-old midfielder is considered a key member of the side at Genk and is reportedly looking for a fresh challenge.
Juventus weighing up move for Walcott
Juventus are pondering a January bid for Arsenal star Theo Walcott, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
The Italian daily claims that Bianconeri boss Antonio Conte is a keen admirer of the Arsenal winger and that he could step up his interest in January.
The England international was recently linked with Arsenal exit and he could decide to leave the sinking ship in January.
Juventus aim to partly fund the transfer by selling unsettled winger Milos Krasic, who has a long list of admirers in English Premier League.
The representative of Theo Walcott, Colin Gordon says that he has not been contacted by the Old Lady officials.
“Juventus have never called us,” Gordon was quoted as saying.
He did, however, hint that Walcott could be leaving Arsenal in the near future.
“We have not received calls from Italy recently. I don’t know what will happen. We’ll see.”
Manchester United and Milan keeping tabs on Betis hotshot
Manchester United and Milan are showing interest in Betis winger Alvaro Vadillo, according to Marca.
The European giants spotted the player’s potential when he was playing for Betis and Spain youth teams and they appear ready to step up their interest.
Manchester United and Milan scouts were present at Santiago Bernabeu last weekend to watch Vadillo in action against Real Madrid, but they left the game far from satisfied with the player forced to come off after picking up an injury just 20 minutes into the game.
The 17-year-old is now set to miss next several months of action with a knee injury, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be bad news for the interested clubs.
Namely, Vadillo currently has more than affordable €3 million release clause in his contract, which was supposed to be automatically increased to €20 million should he play five games this season.
Seeing that Vadillo played just four games this term and that he is unlikely to return into action for another few months, his release clause will remain just €3 million, which is something the interested clubs will try to take advantage of in January.
The 17-year-old is now considered one of the hottest prospects in Spain, with his style of play earning him comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo.
