(GSM) – Belgian leaders Genk dropped their first points of the season as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Club Brugge on Sunday.
After losing their first five games, Genk aimed to add a sixth in a tough away fixture at Club Brugge.
Jelle Vosse put Genk in the lead after ten minutes at Jan Breydel stadium but Venezuelan Ronald Vargas leveled just after the hour and Peter Van der Heyden completed the turn-around in the 78th minute.
But Genk would not suffer their first defeat of the season as Hungarian midfielder Daniel Tözser restored the balance three minutes later.
Genk remain in first place with 16 points from six games. Anderlecht follow with 14 points, and the third place is shared by Kortrijk Mechelen and Gent, all with 13 points.
