Genoa defender Luca Antonelli is still not thinking about a possible return to Milan, according to the player’s representative.
The player, who started his career at San Siro, was on the verge of rejoining the Rossoneri this summer, but the deal eventually fell through.
The Serie A giants are expected to return for the player once the transfer reopens in January, but the player’s representative claims they are not thinking about such a possibility at the moment.
“Antonelli to Milan? It is still too early to talk about that,” agent Fabio Parisi was quoted as saying in La Stampa.
“The summer transfer market has closed just few days ago and the talk is premature.”
It is no secret Milan are searching for a new left-back even if they already have Djamel Mesbah, Luca Antonini and Didac Vila in the side.
The Rossoneri seem to think Luca Antonelli has enough potential to make the position his own and are likely to make an official bid for the player’s services in January.
The 25-year-old defender left Milan after playing just one Serie A game for the club, while he went on to make 69 Serie A appearances while at Parma and Genoa.
