Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Genoa are keeping close tabs on QPR star Adel Taarabt.
After narrowly escaping the drop last term, the Rossoblu are desperate to reinforce the squad this summer and they seem to have set their sights on the Moroccan playmaker.
Taarabt reportedly prefers to remain in England, but the Serie A side hope they can persuade the midfielder to make a switch to Italy.
QPR seem ready to cash in on their star player, but they have yet to receive a concrete offer for the player’s services even if he has largely impressed last season.
Rangers were eventually unable to beat the drop, but Taarabt was the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the club.
The 24-year-old was in fine form last term, having managed 5 goals and 4 assists in 31 Premier League fixtures for the Loftus Road outfit.
