Genoa’s summer spending spree may not be over after links with Victor Obinna and Massimo Maccarone. The port outfit have brought in the likes of Hernan Crespo, Sergio Floccari and Marco Amelia amongst many others already, but they’re still looking to strengthen.
Having lost Bosko Jankovic to a knee injury, the Grifoni are understood to have made an enquiry for Obinna. The Nigerian is seen as surplus to requirements at Inter and a host of clubs, including Everton, are keen. Genoa are believed to have turned their attention to the 22-year-old after failing in an attempt to lure Inter’s Amantino Mancini.
Meanwhile, injury concerns over Floccari have led the Rossoblu to once more consider their attacking options. Maccarone, Siena’s top scorer in Serie A, is being associated with the outfit even if the Tuscans are unlikely to sell unless richly rewarded.
