Il Secolo XIX is reporting that Genoa officials are currently considering Tino Costa’s situation at the club.
The highly rated midfielder joined from Spartak Moscow on an 18-month loan deal in January 2015, and he has had mixed success since arriving at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The Argentine performed well in 9 Serie A appearances, but a succession of injuries prevented him from nailing down a regular starting berth.
Genoa officials are currently reviewing his performances as they plan to make a decision on his future in the coming weeks.
The Rossoblu have the option to make the transfer permanent for €3 million, which is not a lot of money for the player who already proved his worth at Montpellier and Valencia.
Genoa did not have the best of starts to the new Serie A campaign, taking just seven points from as many games, but they are 1/1 favourites to defeat Chievo next time out.
