Il Secolo XIX has learned that Serie A side Genoa are set to complete the signing of Argentine midfielder Alberto Costa from Spartak Moscow.
The Rossoblu have agreed to sign the experienced midfielder on an 18-month loan, while including the option to buy in June 2016.
According to Il Secolo XIX, the Argentine has already completed his medical and the deal is expected to be made official later today.
The 29-year-old hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth at Spartak Moscow, making 31 league appearances since joining from Valencia and scoring 3 goals.
Costa surprised everyone by leaving los Che for a move to Russian Premier League and it would appear as though he has lived to regret his decision.
The highly rated footballer now joins Serie A high-flyers Genoa, who sit mere one point behind Champions League positions midway through the season, although they are 50/1 shot for a top 3 finish.
