Genoa suffered a 3-2 home defeat against Lazio on Sunday afternoon but the game made history with Pietro Pellegri, who scored both of Genoa’s goals.
At the tender age of 16 years and 184 days, the Genoa starlet became the youngest ever player to score two goals in a single match in the history of the Italian football and it’s fair to say he made his father proud.
Being an assistant coach at Genoa, Marco Pellegri watched from the bench as his son scored a historic double and was unable to control his emotions.
Pellegri senior wept with pride from the dugout and his son was also reduced to tears as he spoke of his dad after the match.
Emotional scenes.
