Gentner hoping for Dortmund surprise

Stuttgart playmaker Christian Gentner says his side are keen for all three points when they visit champions Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart were able to secure a thrilling 4-4 comeback-draw against Juergen Klopp’s side last term, with new Dortmund-signing Julian Schieber scoring two goals for his former club Stuttgart.

Asked if we can look forward to another spectacular goal fest against Dortmund this season, 27-year-old Gentner told Goal.com that he is only focused on winning.

“It is difficult to say – actually we do not care,” Gentner he said.

“We want to take (three points) away with us. If it is (a) dirty (match), we play a bad game and win 1-0 at the end, then I would prefer that over a spectacle.

Gentner feels his side’s form gives them reason to be hopeful against Klopp’s men.

“Not because of this match (the 4-4 last season), but because of our good performances in the last couple of games, in the last weeks,” he said.

“We want to take this momentum with us and then hope that we can gain something.”
