Georginio Rutter to leave Leeds United for Brighton

Georginio Rutter is set to leave Leeds United for Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that Rutter will undergo a medical on Thursday before putting pen to paper on a deal with Brighton.

Football Insider has claimed that Rutter has a £40 million release clause in his contract at Leeds, who are playing in the Championship this season after failing to clinch promotion to the Premier League at the end of the last campaign. The 22-year-old Frenchman, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, has decided to accept the offer from Premier League club Brighton.

Rutter has been on the books of Leeds since January 2023 when he joined from German club Hoffenheim. The youngster scored seven goals and gave 15 assists in 47 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for the West Yorkshire club last season.
