Competition: Euro 2016 qualifier
Market: Germany to win Group D
Odds: 1/10 @ William Hill
Germany face Scotland tonight in their opening qualifying game of Group D, and the majority are predicting them to finish at the summit when all the qualifying games have been played. Fresh from winning the World Cup, Germany have lost a couple of important players, but their squad is still incredibly strong.
Their group has Scotland, Poland, Republic of Ireland, Georgia and Gibraltar, all who shouldn’t pose any genuine threat to their chances of finishing top. Poland are the strongest side in Group D for Germany to worry about, but Joachim Low will consider his squad of players good enough to get maximum points against every side if he can keep key players fit.
William Hill are giving odds of 1/10 for Germany to top Group D, with the Eagles also gunning to win Euro 2016 in two years time. Low’s men want to ensure preparations go perfectly in the group so they are ready for the summer of 2016 when the tournament begins. Scotland are their first opponents, and they will want nothing less than all three points.
