Germany had a bittersweet international break, suffering defeat to England, but going on to win against Italy. The 2014 World Cup winners are among the tournament favourites in the Euros, but have a tricky group to come out on top in.

Poland, Ukraine and Northern Ireland are the three sides who will join Germany in Group C, and could embark in a three-way fight for the next qualifying spot, assuming Germany top the table as expected. Manager Joachim Lowe is demanding his side deliver with the spot light on them, and they certainly boast the squad to do so.

Germany’s form has been horrible inconsistent at the worst time, however, with the Eagles having suffered three defeats from their last five in all competitions. The 2014 World Cup winners can’t keep a clean sheet of late either, and certainly need to improve if they are to win the European Championships this summer.

Nevertheless, Germany are favourites to top their group in the Euros, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 2/5 for the Eagles to do exactly that in this summer’s tournament.
