Germany World Cup star to play in fifth division

Former Germany international David Odonkor is set to sign for TuS Dornberg, the club that play their football in fifth division, according to L’Equipe.

The player who was an important part of the Germany squad that won the third place at the 2006 World Cup has been a free agent since leaving Betis earlier this summer.

Odonkor, whose career was plagued with injuries, has finished rehabilitation process following a knee injury and is now eager to kick-start his career.

The player is currently training with German fifth division club TuS Dornberg and could even sign a contract with the club from Bielefeld.

The winger wants to build his fitness and get some playing time before trying to return to Bundesliga.
