Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has admitted that he could be set for a move away from Anfield at the end of the season, according to the Independent.
The 34 year old has spent his entire career so far with the Reds, racking up almost seven hundred appearances in all competitions since making his debut in the 1998/99 season.
However, his contract is set to expire in the summer and the midfielder has said that should a new offer not be forthcoming, he would not yet be ready to retire.
During a glittering career on Merseyside, the former England skipper has won a host of major honours – most famously the Champions League in 2005 while last season was the closest he came to win the Premier League trophy that has so far eluded him.
Brendan Rodgers’ men travel to Newcastle United tomorrow lunchtime, and Gerrard is priced at 10/1 to get the first goal of the game.
