Gerrard likens Cole to Messi, Ronaldo

(GSM) – Steven Gerrard has hailed his new Liverpool team-mate Joe Cole.

Cole has signed a four-year deal worth £90,000 a week. The England midfielder gets the No 7 shirt – the same as Reds icon Kenny Dalglish – after leaving Chelsea as a free agent this summer.

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is delighted with the arrival of the former West Ham United player.

He said: “Joe’s as good as Leo Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo on the ball and he’ll give any player a run for their money when it comes to tricks.”
