Steven Gerrard is in talks with Liverpool over a potential return to the club, according to the Express.
The former England captain is set to leave LA Galaxy at the end of the season and is likely to take the next steps in becoming a coach, though he is yet to announce his retirement from playing.
Gerrard made over seven hundred appearances for the Reds over seventeen years, scoring almost two hundred goals and winning a whole host of major honours – most notably the 2005 Champions League where his heroic performance in the final against Milan saw the Merseysiders come from three-nil down to eventually win on penalties.
Since moving to LA he has played thirty-six times, scoring five times while he was capped one hundred and fourteen times for his country, netting twenty-one times and featured for them at three World Cup finals and two European Championships.
