Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has pledged his future to the club. Gerrard has also revealed that he would like to stay on at the club when his playing career ends.
The 28-year-old said: “I don’t know what’s going to happen over the next 10 years but for the next five or six I hope I’m playing for Liverpool.
“I have two and a half years left on my contract and hopefully I will sign another and stay here for the rest of my career.
“We will have to wait and see about management but I certainly want to get my qualifications.
“If my working life carries on being with Liverpool then I will be very happy.”
