Gervinho believes Arsenal have a bright future as the English Premier League club’s young playing squad begin to fulfil their promise.
Gervinho, 24, hailed the calibre of youthful talents such as Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
With these players and others starting to deliver on their potential, Ivory Coast international Gervinho feels it is only a matter of time until the north London club end their seven-year trophy drought.
“I think that we can cope with everything, really,” he told the club’s official website.
“We have had and have been through a lot of difficult times this season.
“Lots of people have waivered in their belief in us, have said this and that, but we have returned to form.
“We are a group of young lads, we get on really well, but we have got stronger during the tough times and showed the real Arsenal.
“We are going to try and finish the season well and we are happy with that.
“We are all still young, have got some good players and a good group. We can still win lots of trophies and do great things in the future because we are a good club.”
Arsenal have transformed their season in recent weeks, registering six wins in succession after a 5-2 derby victory over local rivals Tottenham Hotspur on February 26.
“The derby game was great and everything came together and clicked,” Gervinho said.
“You saw how we played as a team, the result, how the team worked together and hit some form. That is how we should be and we can use that as a yardstick.”
