Arsenal forward Gervinho believes he is getting back to his best form just in time for the run-in to the end of the Premier League season.
The 24-year-old grabbed an assist during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday and has praised Arsene Wenger for allowing him time to recover following his time with the Ivory Coast squad at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Arsenal have leapfrogged Tottenham into third in the Premier League and Gervinho has urged his team-mates to go on to secure automatic Champions League football.
“I spoke to the coach when I came back,” Gervinho told the Official Arsenal Programme.
“He knew I was tired and I needed a bit of time to recover and to get back to my best. Now, I feel good again.
“I want to finish the season well and be a key part of the team in the last games of the season and help the team to finish in the top three.”
