French newspaper L’Equipe has suggested that Ivorian forward Gervinho could be leaving AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
The former Lille star has kick-started his career at Stadio Olimpico and was one of club’s star performers this season.
However, with club officials rejecting his request to be given a new and improved contract, the Ivorian reportedly plans to leave the Giallorossi.
Gervinho recovered well from a disappointing spell at Arsenal to help Roma climb to second in Italian Serie A, with former coach Rudi Garcia helping him revive his career.
The 26-year-old went on to score 9 goals and produced as many assists in 33 league outings, meaning he should have no shortage of offers in case he decides to quit Stadio Olimpico.
Gervinho will take part at the 2014 World Cup with Ivory Coast, where the Elephants have been placed in the same group as Colombia, Greece and Japan.
