Getafe eye Umar Sadiq

Getafe are interested in signing Umar Sadiq from Real Sociedad in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. Getatfe manager José Bordalás personally wants the Nigeria international striker in his team.

Sadiq has been on the books of Sociedad since the summer of 2022 when he joined after leaving Almeria. The 27-year-old striker has made two starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga, one start and three substitute appearances in the Copa del Rey, and has given one assist in one UEFA Europa League so far this season. The 27-year-old scored two goals and gave one assist in 12 starts and 14 substitute appearances in La Liga for Sociedad last season.

Getafe are 16th in the La Liga table at the moment with eight points from nine matches, two points above the relegation zone. As for Sociedad, they currently find themselves 15th in the standings with nine points from nine games.
