Getafe want to sign Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur

Getafe are interested in signing Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. Reguilon is struggling for playing time at Tottenham, and Spanish club Getafe are reportedly keen on a deal for the left-back in the middle of the season.

Reguilon has been on the books of Tottenham since the summer of 2020 when he joined from Real Madrid. The left-back did well initially at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he failed to keep that up and had loan spells at Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford in recent seasons. The 27-year-old Spaniard has not made a single competitive appearance for Spurs this season.

Getafe are struggling at the moment. They are currently 17th in the La Liga table with 13 points from 15 matches, level on points with third-from-bottom Espanyol. Meanwhile, Tottenham, who could lose Son Heung-min to Real Madrid in the January transfer window, currently find themselves 10th in the Premier League table with 20 points from 14 games, six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
